After a hiatus of a couple of years (2020 & 2021) due to personal tragedy, tried to inch my way back into art sanctuary..

A positive affirmations gift to my friend on the 10 year anniversary of her journey of teaching dance.

She voices these phrases (and more) at the end of her fitness class which always made me feel great & peaceful.

My paint pouring jaunt was so much fun more messier than I expected... maybe because of the large surface area or just my first time!!

Was mostly pleased with final result and is now hanging in my sister's living room.

Made this wall mounted key holder as a gift for a 5th (wood) wedding anniversary.. :-)

Woodworking beginnings.. couple swing !

Hmm.. Beginning with online research for a wood swing for a dance prop before lots of trips to Lowes :-)

Idea was a simple couple swing but I was surprised that double person swings were not that easily available.

Learnt a bit about the plank dimensions, holes width, eye bolts, washers, swing support options etc., in all those little outings to Lowes ;-) Also, I had help with drilling the holes and found out that drilling 1" holes isn't as easy as I thought!!

Finally, DIY swing turned out more economical and ofcourse looked awesome on stage :-)

Hanging tealights

Made this hanging tealight stand for a function at home. Used a decorative wire edged ribbon to wrap around an old coat stand and hung some pretty tealights..

Looked beautiful for our daytime event.. but am sure it'd be even better for an evening party

Temple arch

My most elaborate project to date. Made this temple arch (6' x 4') from old warped cardboards for a religious event.

The hardest part was cutting the warped cardboard. It was a little too thick for even an electric cutting tool. Ended up using a simple saw for the most part except the curves. Gave it a wood backing for better support. Still need to add legs to have it up unsupported.

Liked the way it turned out but learned a lot of lessons for the next time ;-)

Upcycled the garden fence panel to give our unused fireplace a traditional touch.

Even after painting the panel, it still feels like a blank slate with unlimited potential - possibility with more intricate designs, colors...
